9. Parys Mountain - Mynydd Eilian21 views28/6/26. On our way back. With the hill Yr Hald (105 metres) to the left on the photo we are on the return and will shortly be walking through grassland on the southern side of Parys Mountain. There was just a little hold up at the stile.

6. Parys Mountain - Mynydd Eilian22 views28/6/26. Experiencing a little problem at Glan-Llyn farm where the official path looked unsafe due to animals beyond the gate. We took an alternative route through the farm which didn't really please the farmer.

5. Parys Mountain - Mynydd Eilian21 views28/6/26. The steam pump-house at the eastern edge of the quarry. No sign of the machinery. It is home to a large bird's nest made from tree branches. The bird species unknown but it must be a big one.

4. Parys Mountain - Mynydd Eilian23 views28/6/26. The highest point in the quarry 147 metres, close to the windmill. So far so good. The windmill acts as a visitor information centre. We sat outside to have our morning panad.
